Libraries are places of information. Most people think that library is a building containing books. That was an old paradigm. Because of tremendeous advancement in technology development, libraries are changed. Nowadays, libraries not only contain printed information, but also contain nonprinted information. Based on technology advances, libraries had transformed into two categories. The types of those library are traditional and digital library.
Traditional library is type of library that purely contain printed collections such as books, journals, magazines and many more. Based on international organization for standardization, this kind of library should have at least one building to provide all services. Borrowing and returning of books are done conventionally. In addition, organizing the collections up to serving the collections to users also done manually. There is no technology involved in those process. Usually, this type of library can be found in lower educational level such as an elementary school.
The virtual library, usually called as digital library, is the opposite to the conventional library. It does not need a building to serve the services. The concept of digital library is that any person who has computer and connection to the library network can access not only the resouces of the library but also a variety of information that are available without being psycially present in the library. All of the collections and services are in virtual forms. To demonstrate, digital library of National Library of Indonesia. All citizens in Indonesia can access and use the services its library.

Because of technology invantion, nowadays, libraries are more convient to use.
